Mothers Day

A baby is born,
A mother cries for joy,
She kisses his hand,
He will always be her baby.

He fall in the yard
And scrapes his knee.
She holds out her arms
And says come to me.

He is fourteen now
And becoming a man.
But still her little boy,
Embarrassed to hold her hand.

We can talk later mom,
Tonight I have a date.
Don't sit up and worry,
I probably will be late.

You always bother me
When I have things to do.
When I get the time
I'll sit and talk to you.

I am here mom,
I have time to talk.
I couldn't at the church,
All your friends were there.

It seem like only yesterday,
You bounced me on your knee.
And now you are gone forever
And I have so much to tell you.
