Poem -

An Old Sweater

It’s one of those days where you’re so far down,
When your yawns a scream but it doesn’t make a sound.

You’re looking for that one thing to make it all better
When you stumble across his old worn sweater.

It was sitting in a pile with nothing around
Almost as though waiting for it to be found.

A grey and white sweater, a few sizes too large
But full of his memories so you can recharge.

Like having his arms around you in a warm embrace
One of those moments that are hard to replace.

Take in a deep breath, let it out slow,
Savor is smell as you look through the window.

You tell yourself everything is going to be okay.
