Demons

I thought I shook this demon
Locked it up in the deepest dungeons
With the biggest locks
Turns out this demon was silent
Silent and slyer than before
When it announced its presence,
A dark mistress that couldn’t
No, wouldn’t be ignored
Now it wanders through the shadows
Whispering its nothingness
And casting all its spells
Soon it’ll be upon me
Too heavy a burden to bear
But its still lurking in the shadows
And shadows can disappear.
