Huntress

Huntress

The full moon shone bright,
Its beams passing through a spider web.
The silk shone silver in the light,
connecting from branch to branch,
on dead trees.
It was beautiful;
in a haunting way.
In the shadows of the moons glow,
was a hunter.
Waiting silently, patiently,
for its enchanting silver trap to catch her prey.
She was feared by some,
and hated by many.
But among the dying trees,
her silk pattern illuminated by the moon;
She was dangerous.
She was beautiful.
