On The Inside

Are we running in circles?
Sometimes I cant even tell.
Cause im such a destruction to myself.
Overall I can hide it well.

But you see me biting my lip,
maybe staring off somewhere far away.
The smile in my voice don't reach my lips,
"I'm just having an off day"

Fully alive but I feel so numb,
How could I even explain?
A burning urge to lay in bed forever,
a nervous twitch in my brain.

This insomnia could eat me alive,
It's my sanity I cant seem to keep.
So at peace in her arms,
But here with my demons; I'll never sleep.
