Once Upon A Rhyme
I return once again my resolve made of steel,
My mission, My goal for all to see so real,
A gladiator I stand beside this towering brick wall,
I’m prepared, I’m focused I’m standing 10ft tall.
I'll try once again, I'm encouraged not defeated,
Now listen to my story, take note, stay seated.
A fairy tale princess who would live happy ever after,
Lived her life by the book, but she craved way more laughter,
Instead of a Prince, a frog kiss and a bride,
Her thoughts often wavered 'there must be more to life' she cried!
Of friendships and feelings, wild parties, having fun,
Not the old age fable to produce an heir, a son.
So the moral of my story, although it's barely started,
Is achievable by all, even the weak and faint hearted.
Don't live your life and set yourself to fail,
Be creative, inventive make your own story tale,
Be unique, be different whoever you choose to be,
That's the journey I started, when I began life as me.
Now as I stand here prepared, I'm ready to begin,
I'm giving my all, and I'm determined to win,
Not only come first, but be a beacon of hope,
To pick yourself up, when your struggling to cope,
Your life is your story, your the one who will write,
Your own happy after and this time done right!
Thank you for reading and again please take note,
If you resonate my dreams, then end my story with your vote!

I saw the title of this and I said to myself, 'Hey, self! Look...someone here has written a poem that actually rhymes!'
So, I read it.
I must say, I wasn't disappointed for having decided to do so.
Good poem, Jen!
