One Final Blow
I lost my Light.
And God said, ββlet there be darkness.ββ
She was my Salvation.
January Β 16th was her final day on earth.
January Β 20th was her resting day.
Not a cloud in sight
she was supported by the strength of seven shoulders Β Β
aunties placed layer after layer of sacred ufimata Β
as she was carefully lowered to the pit.
Tears fell Β from the eyes of the lonely children.
The heart alone ached away as the body grew Β heavy
burdens started to build
emotions Β stirred
unfamiliar feelings formed.
Taking pictures was a distraction
to keep that emptiness from the world
making people think Iβm fine but deep down Iβm not.
Now, Β home is not Home anymore.
I canβt Β bear stepping inside
waiting patiently for that perfect moment
when someone makes a mistake
let all these daggers and knives burst into their nasty faces
seeing it come out like a hurricane
attacking all the houses and killing
millions of people
in one blow.

Hi Greg Tucker, sorry for the latest reply to your comment. This poem is about my mother who had passed away in the beginning of 2017. I was frustrated with my emotions that I've ended up holding it in. There were some things that I couldn't handle and I just hated certain people. I'm just glad that I've completely finished this piece. Thank youΒ
