One Day

One Day

One day Iโ€™d be gone

Iโ€™d go to where I call home

Iโ€™d cross to the other side of eternity

Which is inevitably a necessity

I would become only a memory

And times I shared with people a history

All that I have spent my days to acquire

Nothing out of it is required

As Iโ€™d take nothing with me

The box would be empty with nothing but me

All my sweat and toils

Would be left here on the soil

After all I was born with nothing

And I go with nothing

The only thing Iโ€™d account for are my deeds

What I actually used all that was entrusted to me

It could be today, tomorrow, next week, next year

Or in several days ย orย  even years not near

All I know is, that day would surely come

No matter what I do or didnโ€™t do, Iโ€™d still be gone

I must be sincere, I really dread that ย ONE DAY!

Very insightful ROSE!!......a reflective piece that so many can relate to.... the greatest philosophers of ALL TIME wrote much on this subject matter...... all we take with us upon our death are our life experiences....... nothing material....... but what can live a life of positivity and warmth..... and that we pray will be a comfort to us as we face the inevitable....... thought provoking piece.......poetically delivered.......ALL STARS...... well done my friend......LOVE and ROCKETS!!......T xo

Hi Tonny, Thanks for your insightful words. Indeed we take nothing material out of this world. Wonder how bigย  our coffins would be if weย  are allowed to take material things along. But thank God, we only have our experiencesย  like you said. Thanks a lot my friend. You've been a motivator.

lots of love..Rose
