One for one (Still Hope)

Hi everyone this poem is a tribute and based on a song (not the one in the title ;)). I know it's far beyond my best work, but hope you enjoy! Sorry for the structure too... difficult to edit on phone.

Wrote 10 verses,
Deleted them too.
Because nothing stands out to me
Not as much as you.

Fall asleep in my arms,
My comforting embrace,
Arms wrapped around,
I was at home, it was fate.

Pull me closer when I`m far,
Lift me higher when I`m falling
Carry me when I`m crawling
Be with me as you were in the start.

I don`t give a damn what they say,
It`s you and me just all the way.
And I don`t live for all the hate
No one stands just for the taste of pain.

I`m giving up, giving up, giving in, for you
I`m saving up, saving up, bringing you close.
Not tossing in the towel – still hope

I`m sure enough, sure enough, sure enough – not scared
They tell us, telling us, saying for me to go
I`m just laughing, just chuckling  – still hope

Because we are sailing away on our boat
Trying to find the reasons we cope
But I know it`ll be alright
