the One Who Broke my Heart

It was a sweet encounter - my heart did have

when I met this boy of laughter and sad.

Quite an intriguing character,

Always interested in spending time with me,

Sometimes I never did see or I'd like to say -

Because a couple times at play..

It was difficult to know what friends were those days.

Always promises that never of this -

A seemingly sincere promise, followed by a passionate kiss.

It's been a year and a half,

He speaks to me, "Dear.."

"Why do you care?"

- It stings my ears

How could I not?

I must have been forgot.

All that I did, All that we said.

Now a past memory - jumbled in your head

I want him to get right, sleep at night

& maybe just maybe

Hold me once again really tight - wishful thinking

Chasing a fantasy;

Cannot be my choice of fulfilling.

I'm trying every day
