Only Words

Only Words

For all that has been reduced to silent trembling thoughts,
that beg to scream, that plead to dance;
may they become words again.

Just little drops of ink that trickle honeyed pleasure
from the lips, and watch them drip upon the paper.
I hear the words breathe,
I hear them sigh,
I hear them cry.

To come alive and infiltrate the mind,
to create far-away worlds,
monsters, hope;
and future lovers that pierce the heart.

How I feel those words,
I feel their pain,
I feel their ghostly whispers,
and, I feel them smile..
