Oops, There He Goes

Oops, There He Goes

In the summer of nineteen ninety four, Linda and I took a very long trip;

One of the places that we visited, was the famous Las Vegas Strip!

We spent three days and two nights there, saw some amazing casino shows;

Then we were heading off to Utah, and it was time for us to go!

We ate our buffet breakfast, then Linda headed back to the room;

To finish all our packing, and herself, to a little groom!

I paid the bill then went to join her, at our room so near the pool;

As I walked I saw a woman with extra long hair, and my lips began to drool!

I turned my back and watched her, each step her tresses swayed;

I thought, when my Linda’s hair gets that long, I’ll really have it made!

I took a step with my back turned, and felt nothing else but air;

For the pavement had then ended, and the pool was waiting there!

Several people started laughing, as I fell so cleanly in;

The sunbathers in all their glory, had seen this tale begin!

I came up and was really giggling, I knew exactly what had transpired;

A woman with such gorgeous hair, might get my Linda very ired!

But instead of trying subterfuge, I refused to Linda lie;

I admitted to her what had happened, and waited anxiously for her reply!

She said “You know I love you, someday I’ll give you just the same”;

“My hair will be as long as hers, you will have your lustrous mane”!

The photograph we used as our illustration, is me, having just gotten back to the room. I had wrung my shirt out at the pool, but my shorts and sandals were still soaking wet.  We actually had to use Linda’s hair dryer to dry out all the bills I had in my pocket!

Well Greg, as you read, I already did get in trouble there.  But fortunately, it's water over the dam.

Hi Larry. I enjoyed reading this, reminiscing the past ## i I have never been to Las Vegas ## I had a long hair too when I was in High School,  then had it cut like twiggy look. ##it's difficult to maintain though ## . shoulder length suits me now.

My Dear Leah,

I cringe at the mere mention of "Twiggy"!  Needless to say, she was not one of my favorite stars.  My credo was, "the longer the hair, the longer the romance". (Of course in the late 1960's when the guys decided to become hippies, I had to change the first words to "the longer a girls hair").  I'm so glad you enjoyed this.  Thank you for your kind words.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Hi Larry, another little Limerick for yourself and the lovley Linda

Long locks Larry finds an attraction

Caused him a little a distraction

Linda grew her long mane

Much love is to blame

Now both have such satisfaction

Love

My Dear Lorna,

.

Rapunzel was his favorite lass

Till Linda came and grew her mass

Now each day instead of dreaming

With her hair so long and streaming

He makes to her a passioned pass

.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

My Dear G,

If we ever are lucky enough to meet in person, the first chance I get, I'm going to purposely fall in the swimming pool, just because you've promised to dive in and save me.  It wouldn't be the first life preserver you've thrown my way.  As for my sexy legs, I'd make sure they were the only things that you could grab onto.  Ta, Ta my little hottie!

Love ya,

Larry xxx
