Poem -

open, close

open, close.
open, close.
nothing new, keep searching.
open, close.

i don't want it.
but i need something.

open, close.

this’ll do.
tastes different this time.

open, close.

how about this?
its only a bite
one wont hurt

you’ve already gone this far
might as well

open, close.

hiding evidence
stuff wrappers below so they wont know

open, close.

it tastes so good doesn’t it?
stomach says no, but your still eating aren’t you?

open, close.

how do you feel? hmm?
do you feel full? you’re never full
you feel the stretching as your body takes what its given and you still give it more
i mean its not hard, just stop eating
stop eating
JUST
STOP
EATING

finished.
oh, good morning! you fell asleep for a while there.
feel the weight sloshing around your insides, painting you disgusted
disgusted with your lack of control.

but how will you hide yourself?
the body doesn’t lie
skin stretching to cover your sins
the body always reveals the truth

"it wont happen again"
you like to think that dont you?
that this time will be different

i dont want to be this way
i want to stop
to walk by towering treats and not stash as many as i can for later
to sleep through the night, not sneak down to stuff an abyss

it will be different this time
.
.
.
open, close.
open, close.
