Poem -

Orange

What is the color of grief?

Red?Ā
Like the ember at the end of the cigaretteĀ
that took you away from me
Blue?
LikeĀ  the depression that took you
long before your dying
Black?Ā
Like the anger used to disguiseĀ
all of the hatred and pain

What is the color of guilt?

Purple?
Like the lies we said when we said
you would be ok; we would be ok
Yellow?
Like the coward I was for not caring
until it was much too late

Death isn't a darkness
Death isn't a black cloud
it is a prism of colors
somewhere between "FUCK THIS"
and "don't go, I really need you here..."
but "FUCK THIS"
(I really missed you today)

Please save a space for meĀ
Somewhere between
yellow and red
