Poem -

Over the years.

Over the years,I wished you were here,

To hold you close and hold you near. Ā

To have you close enough to know,

That with your love there comes a glow.

Ā  Ā Over the years you stayed away,

Nothing to do nothing to say.

Keeping silent day after day,

I wonder if you really want it that way.

Ā  Over the years You finally made it,

another sibling your anger has joined it,

so now you have grown into two

how many more will be joining you.

Ā  Over the years there were you four

with number three I know no more.

but number four stands fast and strong,

as we hope the rest come home to belong.

Thank you Chris, I am so glad you like it. I wrote this while in rehab and just got home and decided to do this. I have written several poems but this is a first for me.
