Pain and Sorrows

All of our pain and sorrows

Broken hearts and empty souls,

Half sentences with meaningless words,

We sometimes feel lost,

Living in a world bigger than our dreams,

A cut perhaps or a glass too many…

This is it!

Not across the street,

But down the road,

Not a dead stop,

But miles too fast…

This is it!

Willing we gave our hearts

to fix love we couldn’t mend,

we would rather be hurt than be alone within the hours,

of time. To sow a smile on a face for pain that wasn’t ours.

Maybe a hope that came too soon,

A wish upon the fights and madness,

A forest with dying willow trees,

Dark and empty,

No leaves, nor any breeze,

Just thorn bushes grabbing itself around our fears

Angels and fairies hiding behind, so far

But yet so near.

Will we be saved?

Will we be set free?

Will we fight for what we believe?
