Poem -

I hunger

I hunger

I crave the ocean,

The salty smell of air

And the soft sand through my toes,

The waves crashing and the

View of the horizon.

The way I feel free

As the morning breeze

And that first sip of coffee.

The way the sun bakes my skin

And how it teaches me to breathe.

That hunger I feel to be seen,

Outside a world full of people and society.

A world of peacemakers, healers

And restorers, storytellers and lovers

Of all kind…

I crave the forest,

The tall trees and the healing,

The pure colours so fresh and green,

That desire of something different,

Yet not seen, only in a dream

That was once spoken of.

The only place I have ever known…

The way I feel free,

As I look up at the sky

And the seasons are changing

As the leaves are falling,

And the clouds are dancing,

I want to fly.

That hunger I feel to be seen,

Outside a world full of people and society.

A world of peacemakers, healers

And restorers, storytellers and lovers

Of all kind…

I want to live a life where we

Are civilized, yet not blinded,

I want to live a life where we

Are free and know the value of time.

I want to live by the moment we plead

our highest love and greet our greatest fear.

I want to live,

I want to love,

I want to value

And I want to be set free.

Our humanity,

Will not exist.

Because I am a flower

Venerable, and weak,

But strong enough to grow
