PAIN, ANOTHER DAY

PAIN, ANOTHER DAY

I don't want to wake up
I don't want to open my eyes
To face another day
Of pain and suffering
LIFE has become my tormentor
Inflicting pain, while he laughs at my screams
I beg for death to come, but he takes his sweet time

Life is not finished
His mouth twists into a grimace
Smirking as he handles his instruments of pain
Life's little pleasures
Twisting, distorting, maiming;
until I have no strength to yell

I JUST OPENED MY EYES!
I'VE BARELY WOKEN UP!
I hear him coming, his heavy footsteps approaching
I SCREAM: GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK!
I HAVEN'T RUBBED THE SLEEP FROM MY EYES!
MY FEET HAVEN'T EVEN TOUCHED THE FLOOR!
I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD MY FIRST CUP OF COFFEE!
But life comes for me, once more
