Pandora/Hope

Pandora/Hope

There was a girlĀ
Trapped in a box
Her hair was long and red.
She tried her best
She gave her love
To the living and the dead.
The demons around her cussed and swore
and did offend her so
She cried and cried
And tried to escape
but she had nowhere to go.
The more she seemed to cry
The less beautiful she got
The demons looked like angels
When in reality they were not.
She looked into the mirrorĀ
and she hated what she saw
That beauty from within her
Did not seem to show no more.
So she got really angry and she screamed and stomped her foot.
"You better give me back every single thing you took".
She decided she wasn't going
to play the victim anymore.
She boarded up the windows
and she boarded up the doors.Ā
Then the demons waited
and they shook as they were scared.
They grew really hungry
as their food was no longer there.
Then once they began to shrivel
Into nothing more than ash
She reappeared from her tower
with a massive lightening flash.
She had meditated daily
And did yoga through the night.
She ate the right foods
Until her skin shone pure and bright.
Now the tower is a lighthouse
The box is glowing bright.
The party never stops
Now the world has her as their light.
