PAPER CHAINS WITH PAPER CUTS...

Take a paper make a strip,
loop it back with two.
Making chain links stronger,
be it with a staple or with glue.

Each link is a memory,
of a hurdle jumped through life.
Each one  special so unique,
through happiness strength or strife.

Occasionally links fall through our hands,
causing paper cuts often few.
Pain occurs with blood stained hearts,
often dear to me or you.

For we often overcome our pain,
linking bonds  with others alike.
Coloured paper linked chain,
now show a darker shade in time.

Those little nicks we often get,
from paper chains made through life.
Make those links more memorable,
quite alike are yours to mine.

Paper cuts with paper chains,
tell the story of our lives.
Neither one are quite the same,
let them trail not far behind.

Hi Maggie  Cool surname :-) Your poem
is thought provoking using the paper chains
as in ups and downs in life. I like
how you give a message in your
poem  "Make those links more memorable,"
saying to believe things can get better
A well thought through piece
well done!
Welcome to Cosmo keep them coming
Best wishes Debs
