Paradise Made

Trusting
In my own superheroes
I rose like a flaming sword
Praying for a worthy mission
One that  immaturity could
survive
I hit brick walls of self doubt
The archetype of life gave me A thumbs down
I withdrew
 Epic heroines and celluloid Adventures
Why not me?
Unsurpassed by the truth
 When I met you
I was in some quiet awe
And I withdrew
Overwhelmed by fear
Of an amplified rejection
After the world collapsed
I rose again
In an inner triumph
Slicing words from the air
Piercing your very heart
I swept us into inner dreams
It was raining rose petals
When I finally held you
In this alter ego land
I prayed
And found a God
I could believe in
Your lips were the mantra
I memorized them
Into a whole new world
My desires and joy
Like streams of sun
Erasing away old paradigms
And forging
Paradise
