Paranoia

Paranoia

I hear voices , I can tell they want to hurt me
Every corner I turn I can feel their presence following me
The ominous feeling that I'm not alone
The shadows searching the walls of my home
I can tell they are with me when I commute through public places
I can see them in all the peering faces
The way they stare as if I'm the strange one
Although I've been haunted so long
I fear it's only just begun
I can't seem to escape, there is a feeling of foreboding
I constantly hear the laughing though I can't tell who is joking
I started thinking I was losing it gradually
But those who have lost it aren't aware of their insanity
I see the dark cloud chasing me down every street I drive
I wonder if it's only a matter of time
That I remain alive
Here I am perplexed as to how long I can run
Wondering if the demons will eventually catch me
Or If they have had me all along
