A Part of Me

To leave behind a special gift, one to share with caring thoughts

A spirit of life, the soul of my mind, and the heart of my world

To thee I leave a part of me, for you to treasure in the moments we shared

The kindest hand, the most loving words, those things that make me, me!!

And only you can take that part of me and hold it oh so tight

If only I could be with you now, I would if I could

My flight ahead is way too big, my journey must go on

And each time I look into the sky, across the mountains, waters of blue turquoise

I will think of you, and you will be part of me, as I fly free now, over the sea
