Passing time

Passing time

Tick tock one day after ย still numb with ย your hand print lingering on my legย
Tick tock one week afterย  finally reporting you but sill feeling numb with fear and Shameย
Tick tock one month after sat with a river flowing out my eyes as I try to express my feeling to someone Iโ€™ve only met onceย

Tick tock the day of sentencing is here filled with embarrassment and contempt I carry onย
Tick tock close to your release day my mind slips like a baby on ice causing me to feel shitty againย

Tick tock a year later I still feel the affects of your actions they have ย caused problems deeper than even I understandย
Tick tock a year since sentencing Iโ€™m no longer ashamed of the situation but this doesnโ€™t mean Iโ€™m over it.ย
I still feel violated due to your actions but Iโ€™m my strongest now
