Peeling Onions inexorably lead to tears

Peeling Onions inexorably lead to tears

Β
As currents
Β rule the river
Trouble
Flies
Β beside you
Lonesome crow
Β destiny
Β is still
your own
choosing Β
not chained Β Β
Β To
Β promises . Β
Β made
Β in the light
Β Of
some ill begotten
Β SpringΒ  Β
Fly away
Cry,
sanctuary
never give in
Don’t let
Β the autumn wind Β Β
Β cut your spirit
with angry kisses, Β Β
and its
Ironic smile
Mock you
Β like a wicked child

PoetessDarkly, I will go to the bottom of my scrapheap and cleverly disguise my lame past postings just to feed on your imagination's off springs, I'm just glad to be reading you on here again, thanks for the encouragement, I'll try to chip in with a write or two a month, cheers poetessΒ Β

T, thank you pal, Jeremy Hennessy is a freaking genius, we both know that and I hope everyone on this site checks out his work and give the man some poetry love, that is is real deal, just saying....hey, thanks for saying all that about the write, I'm just trying my friend, each write is an adventure, I just hope I don't get too good at this, I'll soon get bored of it and give it up, that kinda scares me, I like poetry, thanks again, my friend, love you man, cheers

My Dear Brother Poet Chris,

In the inner sanctum of myself
I liberate my spirit
I disavow that which was
Promising myself freedom

Love you Bro,

wow, Larrry, I love your poem/comment, wishing for another block or two, it sounds like the genesis of a sonnet of sorts, marvelous, what a poetic gift, thank you, my friend, so glad you liked this one....if I write something and it brings a tear to my eye, I feels that it's good, but with this, nadda, lol, it's not about me, more about a tragic circumstance; seeing someone trying to swim across the Niagara River miles above the Niagara Falls, and knowing that the currents will still take you dangerously close to your peril, maybe this is more of a 'parental write' than anything else, lol, so strange what inspires poems, thanks for comment, my pal, hugsΒ Β

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the kudos bro.Β  It is quite interesting how we get our inspirations.Β  I go to LA Fitness every weekday at 5 a.m..Β  I do aqua jogging in the pool for an hour, and I'm in deep thought, almost like a meditative state.Β  I get ideas for poems often times, even working out the first quatrain in my head.Β  Then, of course, we can see someone or something that moves and inspires us, like your man by Niagara Falls.Β  I always have a pen and piece of paper in my pocket, for you never want to lose one of those special thoughts that come out of the blue.

All my best,
Larry xxx
