Pitter Patter

Pitter, Patter
Raindrops
Dripping a soft lullaby
On my metal roof
How they fall
Perfectly in rhythm
Drip Drop Plop
I wish my tears were like that
Perfectly in rhythm
Not sporadically
But tears don't work like that
They're an emotion
That can't be controlled
So:

Pitter, Patter
Drip Drop Fall
Rain lulling me to sleep
Not calming me at all
Pitter, Patter
Drip Drop Cry
Run away to your good dreams
The ones where you die
