Player

Player

I’m sorry he has you fooled

and you don’t believe it.

But I wonder why you can’t see it?

Is it because each time he opens his mouth,

all you hear are beautiful lies?

Or because all you see is him

with his disguise?

Never underestimate a player’s mind.

Their pokerface might deceive you.

But take off their mask and you’ll see…

ā€œSurprise!ā€

He played you and your heart.

He won,

ā€˜cause now you’re in pain.

Broken and misused.

He’s made you believe that love isn’t worth your time.

Now you fear falling and not being caught.

So what was the lesson that he taught?

Never fall unless,

you know that you’ll land on your feet.
