Poem -
Plaza
Just.
Give me a brief overview.
There’s happened hearts and polished shoes.
Just.
Give me a point analysis.
Of heavy desks and mattresses.
Just give me a plot, a script, a line.
A prospective target, a muse, a rhyme.
A sandwich, a plan which,
I never follow to every t and every i.
U turn, in it’s place, an urn turned ash tray of burnt out poetry.
It’s controlling me. Like a parasite.
In this paradise, of hidden cryptic messages.
Of tiny shoe box lies.
Of feelings so fast and furious, that I keep them in disguise.
Disgusting and distasteful to even recognise.
So, behind these tired eyes, they’ll stay forever.
In this empty plaza.
Of my mind.

Max good to read you again and hope all is well and good with you.
And glad to see you haven't lost your touch and your poetry pencil is sharp and more than well honed with this mind gemstone offered up.
It reads like a thought, one thinks is solid, but alas, can never grasp to bring into the realm of reality, to gain a closure if one can but is defeated and a reality check hits home, that being some things are simply unobtainable,
just a dawning , the cold light of day of acceptance- is the truth of the matter and the inescapable conclusion.
Another thought provoker Max and this so so poet has quality time coming after this week and can catch up on your latest and old as well my friend.
In the meantime I wish you well.
Not forgetting all your loved ones.
And Max this festive season, please have one on me.

Indeed my thoughts are better placed on paper and to be honest, Xmas is a particularly hard time of year for me as it is. Though I do plan to have one on you, perhaps more than one too! Hey P!! To be honest, I was thinking of you recently! (Not in a weird way lol) but I've been through this site last week collecting all my poetry into an archive on my computer. The sites been a bit laggy and I'm worried it may not be around forever. How's the Facebook going for you? I still call this place home, it feels more personal than other sites, I do have an account on all poetry now, but I've come to the conclusion that for me, poetry is about writing, not getting credit for it! Ah each to their own. I do hope you're well and having an awesome end of year break.
I'm glad my poetry still rivals expectations, to be honest I may have lost my touch over the years, I sure don't post or am as active as I used to be. But eh, we change, for better or worse.

I'm on fb groups...not been as active on it....but still there....I have submitted to many anthologies and other online literary magazines and now I'm working on my next book with my brother...plus life is busy with my daughter and working part time....so I am very choosy in what I do in any spare time I have and I'd rather do my own poetry...if I'm not unwinding with a good series! It's why I havent had time to be continuously as active on here and not been on here a while. I'll do what I can. Have missed you guys!
