Predicament!

Should the morning break and evening shatter
Covid-19 is all that matters,
Far East trade is never slack,
This virus is free of import tax,
Smuggled it's way across these shores
As illegal immigrants by the score,
Unwelcome,  seldom considerate,
GB has to be rid of it,
Knock-on effects, sport fixtures wrecked,
Mass gatherings squandered, countless health checks,
Brexit is topped by media news
Of Coronavirus symptom clues,
Tickles, sore throats, coughs, sneezes
High temperature rise of a flu procedure,
Self isolate, don't mix with crowds,
Keep washing hands, no shaking allowed,
Don't touch your face, bin used tissues,
Kissing, cuddling is now an issue,
Concerts banned, festivals prohibited,
Access to public amenities limited,
Holidays cancelled,  flights returning,
Restrictions limiting thousands of journeys,
America banning the arrival of Brits,
Contamination insisting on it,
Examination of future rules,
Business systems, closing of schools,
Panic buying in stores and shops,
Toilet rolls, food out of stock,
Trolleys full, empty shelves;
Deliberate, inconsiderate, everyone for themselves,
Human venom, menacing mood,
Pretending to love one another is crude,
Dog eat dog, cat eat mouse,
Survival instinct creeping out,
Don't call at the doctors declaring the virus,
Your presence will stress us, rile restless tyrants,
Antagonise the sensitive, jangle their nerves,
Strangle already throat-choked words,
Stay away from pharmacies as harmless as it seems,
If you're tested positive you shouldn't be seen,
It spreads like wildfire, delirious, corrupt,
Savage in its magnitude, its attitude abrupt,
Celebrating inflammation, creating worldwide scare,
Death, cremations, burials to forbear,
Ignore it at your peril, exaggerate its threat,
Imagine it's not applicable, fickle more or less,
No doubt it's lurking out there,
On a world-wind tour promotion,
Meddling in mischievous mayhem,
Messing with our emotions!
