PRESSED BETWEEN THE PAGES OF MY HEART

PRESSED BETWEEN THE PAGES OF MY HEART

Between my breaths, I hold our memories
Pressed between the pages of my heart

I talk to you most everyday

As though we're not apart

Some ask; Why do you still hold on

When they thought, I should let go

But that's like asking,: Why do you breathe

Oh, what do they know

Would you take my reason for living

Would you take from me, all I hold dear

How can you be so thoughtless

How can you be so cavalier!

I will yet, hold all my memories

Pressed between the pages of my heart

I will yet talk to you most everyday

As though, we were not apart

Yes, I will yet hold on

I will not let go

There is no reason to stop
Oh, what do they know
