Pretenders To The Throne

Pretenders To The Throne

There's always someone who wants to muscle in,
but it's like 'class,' you wouldn't know where to begin;
Did you ever play bridge? Know about a finesse?
Ruff a heart, or perhaps you couldn't care less.

Judd Trump is world snooker champion, doesn't have
the persona of Ronnie O'Sullivan a bit like a chav,
the James Blunt (Your Beautiful) of the green baize,
hearts are trumps but perhaps he's a passing faze.

Then there's you - thinking you're better than me,
not possible of course, why you try is a mystery;
I pretend that I'm going to play a trump, no -
not the USA one - why should I bother with that bum.

The time for games is over, until next time comes along,
as someone once said: 'Go back where you came from,'
