Pride (Have a little)

In their life some people have walked on the moon
But you prop up a bar every afternoon
Bitching and moaning about your troubles and strife
But the truth is you have no ambition in life

You can't blame it on your upbringing that much I tell you
There are doctors who have had tougher childhoods than you
You say there's no jobs you promise you've tried
A long list of excuses and no sense of pride

Look at the millionaires who started off skint
Then worked their arses off to make a real mint
Working all hours cos they truly believed
In their abilities they strived to achieve

Just because your families last 3 generations
Have had all but no aspirations
Doesn't mean you can't buck the trend
And work your ass off until you end

Up making something of your life
In a neighbourhood where unemployments rife
To arrive home one day in your brand new ride
That was paid for in full with cash and pride

Cos it doesn't matter on the vocation
We can all strive for a higher station
Think positive work hard and believe
In yourself and you will one day achieve
