Poem -

Puppet

As I stand in a field looking up at the stars
I blame your creator for giving me a heart
For because of that heart I am now just a puppet
A puppet in a show with the devil as the master
You sent down a angel to help with my life
I have fallen in love and the devil stabbed it with a knife
The wound will not heal for the devil is having fun
As he plucks my heart strings one by one
Day after day I think of only my love
Day after day he gives one of my strings a tug
Once an a while I get a day with happiness
The little bit of love I get is bliss
Alas, the feeling does not remain
The only way out of this painful little show is death
But will he let me go, ending his play
One never knows
