Pursuit

Of the world that lies

vivid and vast

in my psyche

is a vista cast.

The one I’ve seen

in your sensuous eyes…

Which play around

in a subtle guise.

Which lure my will

into a state tranquil…

Which run riot

rendering me still.

Your fleeting looks

give away an angst

deeply concealed.

All words spoken

are set aside.

In that veil of silence

what do you hide?

I risk a plunge

to unravel you.

In your contempt

I take pride.

In a prison of hope

I now reside.

Like the dangling locks

over your eyes

agonizingly serene

this quest so hangs.

My pursuit has just begun

my pursuit has just begun…
