Delirium

Rose day ', I had heard.
Hope flew in, like a bird.
My garden - full of roses.
' Good omen '.It had to be.
I plunged, deep into glee.
But crept in me, a fear
of losing, when so near.
' She had a rose too many...
Mine was thrown away.
The inevitable hath happend.
Out came the me in gray.'
Nightmare !
It must have been.
As I've often seen.
' She ditches me in marsh.
I sink with the truth harsh...'
With joy, comes a price.
Too long, I've seared.
With warm blood of bloom,
my hands, are all smeared.
All flowers I'd hacked.
Roses, I have reared...
...
She tangos, sans me.
I trap myself in beer.
Her disdain - my company.
I seethe.
Drink and seethe...
...
I find her, in my arms.
Delirium, all but over.
Her breath - a soothing chime.
It's time I hath smothered fear.
And said, 'Better luck next time'.
