Poem -

Push Through

Can you still live amongst the bitterness.
How this place haunts your memory by day,
This event, you are the only witness.
The man who will take more than pride away.
For he will only put you to the ground,
The love once shared, was forced from your body.
You are living on the merry go round.
He painted scars upon your helpless body.
He has given you a purpose to strive.
Now you are unafraid for what comes next.
Though you can only do your best and try,
To set aside everything for the best.
The Mistakes have been made but you still pray.
So just close your eyes and it will all go away.
