Quiet My Heart

Quiet My Heart

I sometimes wonder if you're looking where I am,
The star that I'm wishing on as if you give a dam.
Somehow the love seems to linger on,
At times I hate it, like I'm not that strong.

I know I am, but it's just so hard,
My lonely beating heart is scarred.
For the love I thought was true and forever,
These tough emotions I need to sever.

I didn't think you could hurt someone you love,
But I guess I was someone easy to get rid of.
I seem to kid myself on an everyday level,
That I, in some way, should of been more careful.

If I could wave a magic wand then I would,
But everything you done, I don't know if I should.
