RABBIT TRAIL

I thought I had to follow
An emotional rabbit trail
I felt like a silly dog
Chasing after it's own tail
I thought I had to chase it
But it quickly got away
Chasing after a feeling
Only leads you more astray
Running around in circles
I fell in a rabbit hole
Cuz following your heart, sometimes
Leads to feelings out of control
I learned to feel the feelings
And then, to let them go
No more rabbit trails for me
Though I know; It's a rough row to hoe
