Fizzle........Crackle...Buzz.
I thought this would be easy.
I knew it would be hard.
To travel to a place,
Where the darknessΒ - hasn't seen a face.
My home is gone now, blue spec, covered by void
Crater littered rock, seas, no water, life destroyed.
I can remember your face, your elegant smile
I regret not calling or writing in a while.
Forgive me, my dear, if my journey never ends.
And youβre left with an empty box.
But your heart will mend,
You`ll forgive me, lost.
I know you're proud.
I know you're waiting.
I know you're standing there.
The suspense you're hating.
But fear not.
I knew the risk.
The reward.
This solemn gift.
Represent my country
And my family.
Hell the rest of humanity!
I`d always have taken the risk.
Coming home.
