Poem -

Rainbows End

I ride a rainbow

that has no end

I don’t want the gold

that’s just round the bend

I’m searching for love

but she isn’t there

I must carry on,

I can’t despair

One day I will find her

she’ll hear my call

I’ll cry as I kiss her

for I know that I’ll fall

For time was my traveller

And pay him I must

I lie where I’ve fallen

My face in the dust

The rain has stopped falling

The rainbow’s no more

The one that I travelled

The love I search for

My heart has stopped pounding

I’m laid to my rest

I rode the rainbow

and love was my quest
