RAT RACE

Wired for the weird
Ignited for tiredness
We wake up to a new day
Set to run all day for the pay
Made to make
Made to break
Planting in hope
Harvesting on dangling ropes
Every day is a race to nowhere
Can only imagine but not see whatâs ahead
How pitiful; the seed that prayed for rain
but for the rushing floods to carry it away
The necklace of uncertainty is set to suffocate
in a chase race
An investment in a future out of control
Have we an option to hitting the road?
A win is not always assured to the fastest
The evading âhappily ever afterâ ought to be reared
It is instinctual turning night into day
and having an eagleâs vision in this haze

All those commuters crammed into carriages,
just goes to prove,
slavery hasent been abolished!
This is a good write,
i relate to it.
Thanks Frantic Free-Verser.
Hello Anthony...
The rat race was the easiest solution to dangle a piece of cheese and watch all the fools run to it...
While they got a block of it in their pocket...
Only a few went for the pocket...
Who doesn't like some entertainment?
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...
