RED HEADED WARRIOR

RED HEADED WARRIOR

This red headed warrior
Was stirred up, awakened
The enemy had no idea
Who he had troubled, who he had shaken
She called upon the name of Jesus
There was fire in her eyes
With spiritual discernment and authority
She saw through the enemy's lies
Don't mess with a red headed warrior
Who has authority and power
She knows in Whom she believes
In her Fortress, her Hightower
She declared the Word of the Lord
She bound on earth
What was bound in heaven
She bound the deception and the lies
And cut through the oppression
He thought she was just a woman
He took her to be meek
He under estimated the power of a woman
He thought that she was weak
She picked up the Sword of the Spirit
And thrust the weapon through
The defeated foe was powerless
There was nothing he could do
Don't mess with a red headed warrior
She's more then a pretty face
She has the Blood, the Name of Jesus
And she's covered by His grace

Very intriguing story.

Favorite part:

And thrust the weapon through
The defeated foe was powerless
There was nothing he could do

Thank you for sharing your poem.

* Edited* I always write too much :)

I can see where you could think that I was talking as Jesus being a woman, but actually, Jesus was who she called upon
Jesus was her power, her protection, hightower
She used His word, the sword of the Spirit as her weapon
It's about a woman prayer warrior, who happens to have red hair.
Thank you Katina!

Katina Woodruff...

Thank you. I am going to read the poems several times in the future before writing a review. If you read a poem too quick, you can miss key elements. I've been working on writing a poem about Jesus, I wasn't sure about posting it though. I'm still learning about religion.

The church that I was going to is non-denominational, much different than the Baptist church I went to in my youth. I've taken part in Prayer Circles around the Indian mounds, while the drummers were playing the drums and the sunshine hit us from all directions. It was a very up-lifting spiritual activity going to the first prayer circle.

Have a fantastic day, the sun is out where I live. Still cold though, I cannot wait until spring.
