Reliving Those Special Moments

If it wasn't for writing poetry
Keeping my brain active and alive
I'd be a candidate for an old folks home
My mind is in overdrive
Still got lots to say and do
Before my final day of departure
This old world should sit up and take notice
And that is just for starters
My brain is literally bursting apart
Waiting to share what I've learned
Mistakes I've made and things I did right
And how my heart still yearns
To relive those special moments
When my life was a new adventure
Those happy times while riding the crest
Such a zestful joy to remember
Writing poetry allows for such things
To express our gratitude in rhyme
For a life complete with happy memories
An experience oh so sublime

Jack is right, you're never too old for sentiment and this adventure called love.
Creativity always saves us from falling into complete obscurity, needless to have eighty years to nurture in its fair measure to creative activity, in my case, and since I have a use of reason creativity has always been a hope of salvation.
When it writes and feelings and memories are reflected in the paper, apart from sharing them optimally maintain our brain, an artist dies when his hands and his brain lost the desire to create. I have to say that even though my mind was already born old I never lost interest in the art stuff.
Greetings, congratulations on the composition.
Once again you exhibit a great knowledge of the creative process in humans! No matter how old we are, the desire deep down to create never leaves us! Thank you Lucas, my friend!
