Even though you know
it is their time to go
and the pain you feel
is very real.

Even though you know
life’s last chapter
is deaths glow,
you should perhaps
stop,
take a breath
and remember.

Remember
dreams shared
hopes fulfilled
the shared longing
loves devotion
never doubting
the passion.

Remember
tears of laughter
kisses tender
entwined together
lovers forever
whisper, once more
I love you.

Remember
their smiles
and laughter,
remember
their love for you
and
whisper your adieu.
Take the sadness,
wash it in memories
of all their kindness.
Celebrate
beautiful hearts
a life shared,
hearts bared
and remember.

The pain of their passing
is not everlasting,
just remember
joyous days together
just remember
just remember
those memories,
are forever.
