Remember Noah?

Who knows the story of Noah and his ark?
If true, should we acknowledge history is repeating itself?
We cannot contain our rivers, in our mission to claim our land.
Is it ours to lay claim to, I often wonder.
The boots we wear are tight and growth and change will conquer
We cannot control everything can we?
Are we unable to accept the force of nature?
Do we still think we can control the tides?
Should we rethink our options?
We have the capacity to do just that, don't we?
We conquer by brute force, is this the right way?
Should we not accept defeat and learn to live side by side with nature?
My guess... It will get worse with time
We need to accept we are not above mother nature
She will never be conquered nor defeated in her freedom to chooseher next move.

We are in awe at natures power which we can not control and must simply observe !
Nice write on this theme !
:)
Centuries ago we built our homes near rivers which supplied a wealth of treasures. We are now so different. We have all we need in higher ground. Technology, transport, food and sparkly chorine water to drink. We do not need to settle in land that mother nature calls her own. The transition is easy .... we walk away with pride. We leave nature to do it's own thing without our selfish unfounded needs. We will never win this war! No one in our past ever has.
It is incredible that planning permission id given to build new houses and communities on flood plains where so much effort has to go into protecting dwellings from rising water levels when there is higher than average rainfall ! We have to reconsider the sites we choose to build on ! We must do so in light of global warming and the fact that higher rainfall is expected more often !
Take care ! Wishing you well as always !
