Poem -

Rescue from forgotten ground

i walked where i should never have gone
across a tarmac river
to listen to the gravel song

i went where i never should have walked
up too the wooden death
listened to its squeaking boast

i walked to a place i should never have gone
through virgin uncut grass
blood steps in a dance
ankle deep the throng

i tread on places i never knew
walked on faces that i could not have slew
up too that grace
spread on a place i knew was not you

i walked to the site that evil buried deep
listen to heaven as angels weep
hell holds my claw as i stand and speak
i should have never claimed the feat

in your breast a child sleeps
no given name just unknown fame
i carry out both stars that fell
you will not lie in that prism cell

across the gravel and pebble talk
beyond the river black and fraught
now you can follow me
and walk that walk
child and thee

i will stay in that place
where i should never have walked
