REST IN PEACE AND BEAUTY
In the beautiful city
known for her lights
Shining brightly to frame
all her majestic sights.
Away from the Seventh
where the tower glows at night
or the First where the Seine
separates left from right.
A stones throw from Eighteen
in her vintage decor
Moulin Rouge calls out
as they can can no more.
It’s to the Twentieth I’ve wondered
away from it all
where thin white lines stretch
across miles of grassy knoll.
Some structures so massive
art carvings of stone
others unpretentious
where spirits call home.
I visit the poets
I can feel all their words
still lingering about me
in whispers and prose.
I sing with musicians
notes floating in air
melodies surround me
like wind through my hair.
Surrounded by wonder
forever I want to stay
in her grace and her beauty
Père Lachaise.

Dear Robyn,
Please forgive me, but somehow after giving you "5 stars and a like", I inadvertently forgot to give you my response.
The Lady Giaconda
In The Louvre, now ever rests
Her smile is for her city
Which she knows is but the best
.
People come to see her
From countries far and wide
But lately, she's been crying
For many Angels there have died
Love,
Larry xxx
