THE RETURN OF ME

Trapped amid midnight moonbeams
My mind and I meet in between
The stars start fading from me fast
Their shadows are cast into the past
And at last
I find the other me
The one I hoped again to see
An angelic lady of liberty
Lost in the grandest of galaxies
Resembling a shadowy, silvery sphere 
While in her presence, I pray she stays near.

Floating among early morn moonbeams
Drifting within a vivid dream
Several stars then reappear
As the silver lady 
whispers in my ear
Then just before I hit the ground
Glimmering sparkles surround my crown
And I open my eyes with such hopeful surprise
Gazing high upon a dawning sunrise
And the silvery shadow is still
by my side.

With a light to destroy the darkest of nights
The silvery being begins to turn white
Then ignites taking flight
In a flurry of flames
Wafting away
She calls out my name
And I have no choice
But to do the same.
