Silver - White, I cross on land,

A snake am I, which glide on sand,

I am not living, nor am I dead,

I have a wide mouth but haven’t a head.

I start where I’m strongest,

And end Were I’m stronger,

Try to break me and I’ll just grow longer.

What am I?
