R.I.P Prince

R.I.P Prince

When I lost my dog Prince, that sh*t really crushed me.  I knew from how he waited at the door for me to get home, that he really loved me.  The person that ran you over don't understand the trauma they caused.  Everybody's probably like chill Sarah, he was just a dog.  See now that's where they're wrong.  I looked at you as if you were human, you had been in my life so long.
I couldn't even see you dead, there's no way I could of seen you gone.  I wanted to think in my head that they were lying, that they were wrong.
You will forever be in my heart Prince, even though out here with me is where you belong.

Words from your heart, I hope your memories will replace the grief of his loss
he's always with you.

So well done.  Unless you have been adopted by a dog you will never understand the emptiness and sadness of an empty home.

Holy Dopplegänger, Sarah!
Prince looks identical to my 17-year-old Chihuahua, Gidget.
Reading your touching tribute to his memory and seeing that picture really sent me for a loop.
Below is my Facebook page link.
Look at Gidget's photos there, then YOU decide.

Fortunately Gidget is still with me and as grumpy as ever. But 17 is quite old for a dog and I realize the same fate that Prince suffered could be just around the corner for my baby.
I'm truly sorry for your loss. Our pets—especially dogs—are not "just animals." They are as much a part of our family as anyone else.
There's a very good reason that DOG in reverse spells G-O-D.
